All low nose models on this run represent locomotives originally owned by Lehigh Valley. The LV C420s were transferred to Delaware \u0026amp; Hudson when Conrail was formed in 1976. LV 405 was later sold by the D\u0026amp;H but eventually returned to home territory in Scranton, PA and is now operating as Delaware-Lackawanna 405 in their attractive gray\/white corporate scheme.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll high short hood models on this run represent locomotives originally owned by the Long Island RR. The Long Island models are decorated in the later \"MTA\" blue \u0026amp; yellow paint scheme. When their lease expired in 1976, LI's phase 1 C420s were initially sent to storage on the Delaware \u0026amp; Hudson and Morristown \u0026amp; Erie railroads. Some were leased by the D\u0026amp;H for a short time in 1977 and operated in patched LI blue \u0026amp; yellow paint. All were eventually sold to various railroads throughout North America. Canada is represented on this run by Roberval \u0026amp; Saguenay, a Quebec shortline, while Mexico is represented by two Nacionales de Mexico C420s. These locomotives are notable as being some of the few N de M diesels set up to run long hood forward and their paint scheme reflects this. Two short lines round out the set with Buffalo Southern 2010 being a former Susquehanna unit that is still in service today.
