LV 405 was later sold by the D&H but eventually returned to home territory in Scranton, PA and is now operating as Delaware-Lackawanna 405 in their attractive gray/white corporate scheme.

All high short hood models on this run represent locomotives originally owned by the Long Island RR. When their lease expired in 1976, LI's phase 1 C420s were initially sent to storage on the Delaware & Hudson and Morristown & Erie railroads. Some were leased by the D&H for a short time in 1977 and operated in patched LI blue & yellow paint. All were eventually sold to various railroads throughout North America. Canada is represented on this run by Roberval & Saguenay, a Quebec shortline, while Mexico is represented by two Nacionales de Mexico C420s. These locomotives are notable as being some of the few N de M diesels set up to run long hood forward and their paint scheme reflects this. Two short lines round out the set with Buffalo Southern 2010 being a former Susquehanna unit that is still in service today.
